Meet the Artist: Vincent Vittorini
While Vincent Vittorini's figurative work relies close on classical composition, he renders them through different surface textures, vivid use of modern color, and in unusual settings that they wouldn't normally be seen.
Having been afforded the luxury of growing up close to the city Vincent often visited Chicago's Museums and galleries on school field trips. He developed a love of the Art Institute's European Figurative works. It was the movement and technical skill of these works that inspired him.
Vincent, a Chicagoland native, was born in the Western Suburb of Lombard n 1974. He moved to Chicago and obtained his B.F.A. from Columbia College Chicago.
Since his 2000 Graduation, Vince has established himself as an artist and worked on large scale murals in residential and commercial enviornments. These projects have been commissioned by Chicago's most prominent restaurants. He has also executed hand-painted art for business and professional sports teams.
Vincent sees the artistic expression of the human form as the only true way to express man's divine relationship with nature, the relationship with each other, and the relationship with the beyond.
